Shipping & Returns

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE STATUS OF YOUR SHIPMENT?

SHIPPING METHODS & RATES
Our orders are shipped and delivered on business days (Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays.) Orders placed after Friday at 12:00 PM PST will be shipped the following business week. We ship via USPS and UPS. USPS options include Ground Advantage (standard) and Priority Mail (express). Please allow 1–4 business days for order processing and 4–10 business days for standard shipping once processed.

SHIPPING TERMS & DELIVERY
Any lost package is the responsibility of the shipping carrier (USPS or UPS), and any complaints or claims should be directed to the respective carrier. Educated Mess is not responsible for any missed or rescheduled deliveries. If a package is marked as "Delivered" but you do not receive your product, you must contact your carrier and file a claim with them. Orders to Alaska and Hawaii take 6+ business days with Standard Shipping. Please select the shipping option that best suits your delivery needs during "Checkout." We do not ship to APO Boxes, PO Boxes, or military addresses.

SHIPPING CONFIRMATION
Upon checkout, an email will be sent to you with a copy of your order. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an additional email to confirm shipment of your order. The shipping tracking information will be included in that email so that you may check the status of the order at your convenience. Should you have any questions about your order status, please email us.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED?
When the order arrives, please inspect it for any damage that may have occurred during shipment. If you determine you have received damaged or unusable items, please retain the box, the packing materials and the items inside. Please contact us immediately at hello@educatedmess.com in the event that damages do occur. Please provide us with your order number and photos of all damaged items, so our team can assess the claim and take the proper steps to help find a satisfactory solution.

WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY ORDER?
Please contact us immediately at hello@educatedmess.com. If the order has yet to ship, we will make every effort to cancel/adjust the order before it leaves our warehouse. In the event that the order ships before we're notified or are able to retrieve it, we will be unable to make any changes to your order or its destination. At this point, we recommend refusing the delivery, and we will provide you with a full refund when it is returned to us (or re-send to the correct destination). Alternatively, you can reach out to our team for a return label and begin the returns process described in the next section.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. To start a return, you can submit a self-service return here, or contact us at hello@educatedmess.com. If your return is accepted, we'll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at hello@educatedmess.com.

International Shipping and Returns

Educated Mess International Shipping Policy

At Educated Mess, we're dedicated to making sure your order arrives quickly and affordably. International orders are shipped via UPS. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your items, using discounted carrier rates through Shopify.

SHIPPING COSTS & TRANSIT TIMES
Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on the total weight of your order. Please note that transit times are estimates provided by UPS and may vary due to customs processing or other unforeseen delays.

CUSTOMS, DUTIES & TAXES
International orders may be subject to customs duties, VAT, or other import fees upon arrival. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the customer.

ORDER PROCESSING
Please allow 1–4 business days for order processing. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES
