What sets this moisturizer apart from others on the market?

Along with our other highly effective moisturizing actives and ferments, we've incorporated a targeted delivery system of peptides that boost hyaluronic acid and elastin to help skin retain moisture on its own. The encapsulation system maximizes the bioavailability of the peptides and ensures you're getting the most efficacy out of the ingredients you're applying to your face.

This moisturizer is great for both dry and oily skin types. All of the actives we've used are water-based and proven to be highly effective to improve hydration. We've used a silicone base to deliver these actives, and while there's a common misconception that silicones will clog your pores, the opposite has been proven in multiple studies — the Si-O bond in silicones is actually permeable to air and water vapor, meaning this moisturizer forms a breathable layer on your skin.

Absolutely! Most of the actives we've chosen have been tested and proven to reduce sensitivity and support skin's barrier. The preservative system we've chosen has been tested by our suppliers to show very low irritation potential, and the silicone-based formula is very unlikely to cause irritation, as silicones aren't recognized by the body as an allergen. Dimethicone is even listed on the FDA monograph as a skin protectant.

No added fragrance. Sake Silk is formulated without added fragrance or parfum. 

Both! It's designed for daily use after your serums, morning or night, or both if your skin wants the extra hydration. 

While silicones aren't biodegradable, that doesn't mean they build up in the environment. Silicones come from sand, so as they degrade naturally they turn back into silica, carbon dioxide, and water. Volatile silicones (like cyclopentasiloxane) break down in about 2 weeks. Environmental studies have shown that the buildup of silicones in the environment is extremely low.

    She is THE BOMB

    She is juicy, with the silkiest texture! So hydrating without being heavy and wears amazing under SPF and makeup. I am extremely acne prone and have had zero issues so far. I often time wake up dry due to using tretinoin and this has made such a massive difference in only a few days. No flakes or dry patches and helped my sensitized areas, absolutely working wonders in my skin barrier in a short time. A little goes a long way too. The packaging feels lux yet fun, though I agree with another review - refill canister options would be awesome. I love how you can unscrew the top and get every drop when it’s time to. The scent does initially come off a little as paint-ish BUT it quickly disapates once you rub it in. I’m extremely sensitive to products with scents and I was surprised at how quickly it fades entirely. None issue for me. Overall love it, it’s easily becoming my go-to every morning and night!

    Love but 1 request

    I love the moisturizer and it works great on my sensitive, combo, rosacea skin! My only complaint is I wish they would make refills for the bottle. It wastes so much plastic having to buy a whole new bottle everytime. Other than that I recommend!

    My skin has never been this hydrated

    I have been looking for a sensitive skin friendly hydrating moisturizer but never had luck of it holding moisture in my face all day- I am GLOWING for hours!!! Hasn't broken me out been using this for 6m now and is my holy grail. Educated Mess you continue to kill it!!! KEEP IT UP!

    Great for eczema!

    I have tried every moisturizer out there, from drug store to luxury. I have to say this has been the best at regulating my skin that is prone to irritability and dryness from eczema. I pair it with the vitamin C serum and it’s like an automatic reset for my skin.

    So soothing for sensitive skin

    I have mild Rosacea and my skin is pretty sensitive to many ingredients it this lightweight moisturizer is amazing. The texture is light/slightly dewy, cooling on my cheeks and is absorbed easily. I didn’t have any reaction to it whatsoever and my skin has been really calm since using it. I also add a pump of Freeze Frame into Sake Bomb for the extra peptide boost and my skin seems to tolerate it well. Also I haven’t experienced any pilling with sunscreen or makeup. The only downsides are the bottle is small so I went through my first bottle pretty fast but thankfully I have a backup and will definitely order again. I hopeEM can make it someday at a larger size. Additionally, the pump was a little funky but I made it work.
